Name: Orange Scones
Yield: makes 7-8 scones
Ingredients: 2 1/4 cups cake flour; 1 cup almond meal; 1/3 cup sugar; 1/2 tsp salt; 1 tsp baking soda; 1 tsp baking powder; 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut in pieces; zest of 2 oranges (use tangerines, blood oranges, any kind you like); 1 large egg; 1/4 cup fresh orange juice; 1/2 cup cold buttermilk; 1 tsp orange extract; glaze; 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar; 1/4 tsp pure orange extract; orange juice to thin (I used blood orange juice)
