Ingredients: For the pizza dough:; 1 cup warm water; 1 package active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp); 1 tbsp maple syrup or sugar; 2 cups bread flour; 1 cup whole wheat flour; 1 tsp salt; For the kale pesto:; 1 packed cup baby kale; 1/4 cup walnuts, (chopped); 3 cloves garlic; 1 tsp red pepper flakes; 2 tbsp nutritional yeast, (optional); 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil; Juice of half a lemon; Salt and ground black pepper to taste; For the toppings:; 20 asparagus spears, (woody ends trimmed); 4 red bliss or yukon gold potatoes, very thinly sliced (about 1/8th of an inch). Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them stand 30 minutes.
