Ingredients: 1 sweet onion, (diced); 1 red bell pepper, (diced); 1 green bell pepper, (diced); 2 tablespoons olive oil; 2 bulbs roasted garlic; 2 (15 oz) cans cannellini beans, drained and rinsed; 1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed; 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed; 2 (28 oz) cans crushed tomatoes; 1 tablespoon tomato paste; 2 tablespoons chili powder; 1 tablespoon cumin; 1 tablespoon unsweetened dark cocoa powder; 1 tablespoon brown sugar; 1/4 teaspoon salt; 1/4 teaspoon black pepper; 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper; 1 1/2 cups finely ground cornmeal; 1 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour; 1 tablespoon baking powder; 1 tablespoon granulated sugar; 1 teaspoon baking soda; 1 teaspoon salt; 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, (cut into chunks); 1-1 1/4 cups milk; melted butter for brushing
